Maxime Snaterse

Maxime Snaterse (1996) begon op negenjarige leeftijd met pianolessen bij Lena Markov. Daarnaast heeft ze les gehad van Bella Tubejeva en sinds 2011 volgde ze lessen bij Frank van de Laar aan het ArtEZ Conservatorium. Hier heeft ze cum laude haar Bachelor of Music afgesloten en heeft ze in 2020 ook haar Master of Music afgerond, met de hoogste onderscheiding. Recent heeft ze een tweede diploma Master of Music behaald met het hoogst mogelijke resultaat aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, waar ze les kreeg van Aleksandar Madžar. 

Maxime is actief, leergierig en heeft brede interesses. Zo heeft zij in het jaar 2015-2016 naast haar bachelor het ArtEZ Honours Programme gevolgd en was zij projectmedewerkster bij het Britten Concours. Naast haar muzikale studies en activiteiten, begon zij in 2016-2017 met haar bachelor Technische Bedrijfskunde aan de Universiteit Twente (2019 afgestudeerd) en heeft zij vervolgens in 2020 haar Master Business Administration cum laude afgerond. Verder geeft ze momenteel les op verschillende academies in Brussel. Op de eerste plaats blijft ze echter de gedreven en enthousiaste pianiste die haar fascinatie voor de klassieke muziek wil delen met het publiek. Zie website

Katerina Verbovskaya

Katerina Verbovskaya is one of Russia’s most gifted young pianists, with an already impressive resume of concerts and prizes. Born in Kaliningrad in 1988, she has had solo and orchestral performances throughout Russia, including the major concert halls of Moscow (e.g. Great and Small Halls of the Moscow Conservatory, Rachmaninoff Hall, the Great Hall of the Moscow International House of Music, etc), Concertgebouw Brugge (Belgium).

Recital appearances include the Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center, USA; The Great Hall of The Bolzano Conservatory, Italy; the Great Hall and Small Hall of the Royal Brussels Conservatory, Belgium; Ehrbar Salle, Vienna, Austria; Educatorio della Provvidenza (Torino, Italy); and as well in France, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, Cyprus etc. She has performed with symphony orchestras including the Kaliningrad Philharmonic Orchestra, Chopin College Symphony Orchestra, repeatedly Pavel Slobodkin Moscow Center’s Chamber Orchestra, also she recently performed with the KCB Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Norbert Nozy, the Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Gidsen, conducted by Yves Segers and “Akademos” symfonie van talenten, conducted by Marc Sierens.

Vivianne Cheng

American pianist, Vivianne Cheng, is among the youngest Steinway Artists in the world to have joined the legendary roster. She is praised by critics as "a veteran performer, playing with unfailing concentration and purpose" (The News & Observer) and “dazzling and riveting... an artist with sensibilities far beyond her years" (CVNC Arts Journal). Rachmaninoff's final pupil, Ruth Slenczynska, describes Vivianne as having "unlimited promise through her interpretive imagination". Born in North Carolina, she gave her debut solo recital at the age of ten and has since performed in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States. Vivianne has made appearances in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, Symphony Hall, Musikverein, Lincoln Center, Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Festival Ljubljana, and La Cité Internationale des Arts. She has participated in the International Keyboard Institute and Festival, Verbier Festival Academy, and International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove. Highlights of the past season included solo recitals at Wonderfeel Festival, Naarden International Piano Festival, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Alexander Kashpurin

Muziek is vanaf jonge leeftijd het belangrijkste element in het leven van Alexander Kashpurin. Alexander zong vanaf jonge leeftijd thuis en sloot zich al snel aan bij het professionele jongenskoor van Sint-Petersburg. De vrijwel dagelijkse repetities van dit koor en de Europese tournees waren een feest en inspiratie voor Alexander. Toen hij op 8-jarige leeftijd een piano kreeg, raakte hij er onmiddellijk gepassioneerd door en nam muziek een allesomvattende centrale rol in zijn leven in. Toen hij 12 jaar oud was, werd Alexander toegelaten tot het Muzieklyceum van St. Petersburg en sloot hij zich aan bij de pianoklas van Irina Lobikova. Hij vervolgde zijn studie aan het Rimski-Korsakov Staatsconservatorium van Sint-Petersburg in 2014 en studeerde in 2019 'summa cum laude' af.

Alexander is momenteel als docent verbonden aan het lyceum van het conservatorium.

2019: - de VIII International International Ciurlionios Piano Competition in Vilnius, Litouwen: eerste prijs en 2 speciale prijzen, waaronder een soloconcert met het Litouwse Nationale Filharmonisch Orkest). - de 1e Internationale Russische Muziekpianowedstrijd: eerste prijs en 3 speciale prijzen.

Gregor Dešman

Gregor Dešman is een Sloveense pianist die momenteel in Nederland woont en werkt. Zijn aangeboren nieuwsgierigheid zorgt ervoor dat hij een breed repertoire bestrijkt, van muziek uit de 18e tot de 21e eeuw. Gregor studeerde in Slovenië, Italië, Kroatië en Nederland bij gerenommeerde docenten, onder wie Naum Grubert. Hij studeerde summa cum laude af aan het conservatorium van Ljubljana en ontving diverse prestigieuze prijzen onder meer in Milaan en in Bled, Slovenië.

Als solist trad hij op met het Valerius orkest in Den Haag, Het Slovense Philharmonish orkest en Ljubljana Opera orkest. Gregor treedt op vaak samen met andere internationaal succesvolle musici zoals Tibor Molnar, Joachim Eijlander... 

Vooraanstaande critici schrijven onder meer: 'we genoten van een melodieuze lyriek en een rijke klankkleur' en 'het derde pianoconcert van Béla Bartók overtuigde mij helemaal met zijn zelfverzekerde spel'.

Casey Crosby

Crosby now resides in Zurich, Switzerland and performs and records under the new age, rural folk piano genre but his influences of classical and Celtic music along with his roots of gospel are very evident to the listener. Crosby’s music evokes emotions from listeners who often describe his music as a “journey in time, of joy and warm melancholy”.

Crosby is presently concentrating mainly on live concert performances. November 10th 2018 he released his latest solo piano album “November”. The album was honored with a silver medal for oustanding achievements at the Global Music Awards in March 2019.

The song “Listen To The Sweet Song Of The River” from his album “November” was nominated by the American Songwriting Awards as best song in the category New Age.

Nathalie Matthys

Nathalie Matthys, geboren te Kortrijk, België, ontdekte al snel haar passie voor muziek en volgde haar eerste pianolessen bij haar vader, pianist-componist Marc Matthys. Op 8-jarige leeftijd, startte ze haar pianostudies bij Marie-Noëlle Damien aan het Stedelijk Conservatorium te Kortrijk. Na twee jaar vervolgde ze deze lessen bij Nina Ardachirova.

Ze volgde klassieke masterclasses bij Daan Vandewalle, Paul Gulda, Daniel Blumenthal, Severin von Eckardstein, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden en Jura Margulis en jazz masterclasses bij Ewout Pierreux, Jozef Dumoulin, Justin Binek en Kristen Cornwell. In 2017 vervolledigde ze haar Masterstudies met grootste onderscheiding aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Gent bij Vitaly Samoshko. Momenteel studeert ze, gesponsord door Fulbright, SWUK, Stichting Mitialto en Rotary Kortrijk-Groeninghe, in de Verenigde Staten bij professor Emile Naoumoff (klassiek piano) en professor Sachal Vasandani (jazz vocals) aan Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

Piet Swerts 

Piet Swerts werd op 14 november 1960 te Tongeren geboren. Hij studeerde van 1974 tot 1989 aan het Lemmensinstituut te Leuven, waar hij tien eerste prijzen behaalde. Hij volgde onder andere piano bij Robert Groslot en Alan Weiss. Hij verkreeg er ook voor het eerst in de geschiedenis van het Lemmensinstituut de prijs Lemmens Tinel voor compositie en piano met grote onderscheiding. Aan hetzelfde Lemmensinstituut is Piet Swerts nu docent piano, analyse en compositie, en dit sinds 1982. Van 1985 tot 2005 was hij ook dirigent van het Ensemble Nieuwe Muziek van het Lemmensinstituut. Hij wordt ook veel gevraagd als jurylid bij compositiewedstrijden.

Swerts componeert in 2014 tevens de filmmuziek voor Atlantic; een film die in première gaat op het Toronto International Film Festival.

Nicolas van Poucke

Jan Wijn: ‘De jonge pianist Nicolas van Poucke is een van de meest in het oog springende talenten van zijn generatie in Holland’

Nicolas studeerde bij David Kuyken en Jan Wijn (Conservatorium van Amsterdam). Verder is hij gecoacht door en krijgt hij advies van Murray Perahia, Alfred Brendel en Martha Argerich.

Dagblad Trouw schrijft over Nicolas:

“Hij speelt de werken die hij kiest met grote toewijding. En met krachtig spel illustreert hij de grandeur van de stukken. Dit is aristocratische muziek die, zelfs in lyrische passages, zorgt dat Van Poucke overtuigt. Hij geeft ruimte aan poëzie, zonder te vervallen in zwakheid of ongepast effectbejag”.

Thomas Beijer

Thomas Beijer is een veelzijdig musicus met een breed repertoire dat rijkt van zeventiende-eeuwse muziek tot en met hedendaagse composities. Een speciale affiniteit heeft hij met Spaanse muziek: in 2019 speelde hij Isaac Albéniz’ complete suite Iberia in Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, een uitvoering die alom werd geprezen in de pers. De Volkskrant schreef: “Beijer gidste je mee, het verhaal in achter de noten. (…) En telkens was er een zorgvuldig bewaakte balans tussen vuur en verinnerlijking, tussen Spaanse passie en de universele emotie van onvervuld verlangen.” Het leidde tevens tot een invitatie om te spelen in de serie Meesterpianisten.

Naast zijn carrière als pianist en componist, is Thomas Beijer actief als schrijver en tekenaar.

In 2017 debuteerde hij bij uitgeverij Prometheus met de novelle Geen Jalapeños.

Momenteel werkt hij aan een bundel essays over muziek. Sinds 2019 is Thomas Beijer artistiek directeur van de Young Pianist Foundation.

in 2022 ontving Thomas Beijer de Nederlandse Muziekprijs, de hoogste onderscheiding die door het ministerie van OCW aan een musicus, werkzaam in de klassieke muziek, wordt uitgereikt.

Anna Khomichko’s 

Anna Khomichko’s consummate artistry rests on a powerful musical conviction, intelligence, and maturity. She creates an astonishingly delicate sound with her crystal-clear touch and mindful interpretations. Anna’s intriguing performances have already caught the attention of audiences in a variety of countries across the world. Praised for her eclectic repertoire ranging from Scarlatti to music of the 21th century, Anna is mostly committed to the music of classical period. Her fascinating personality and charisma – not only proven by her stage performances, but also during her live moderations – immediately mesmerises any sort of audience.

Anna comes from a Belarusian-Ukrainian family and grew up in the north of Russia. She started to play the piano at the age of four. She has graduated from the Russian Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow where she was a student of the renowned Russian Professor Vladymyr Tropp and in the meantime completed her bachelor’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar with Professor Grigory Gruzman. Afterwards, she has received her master’s degree with Professor Claudio Martinez Mehner at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne.

Rieteke Hölscher Kortenhoef

De Nederlandse componiste en pianiste Rieteke Hölscher (1969) studeerde piano aan het Hilversums Conservatorium (klassiek en jazz) bij Frans van Dalen en Tine Schneider. Na haar afstuderen in 1992 volgde zij nog zes jaar solo-lessen bij concertpianist Rian de Waal en ontwikkelde ze zich als een veelzijdig musicus: ze is een veelgevraagd uitvoerend musicus en heeft een een bloeiende lespraktijk in de omgeving Hilversum. Ook is zij veelvuldig werkzaam als dirigente, koorrepetitor en kerkmusicus.

Daarnaast was de belangstelling voor componeren altijd aanwezig: in 2011 startte ze met compositielessen, wat resulteerde in een studie compositie bij Caroline Ansink en Jeroen D´hoe aan het Utrechts Conservatorium in 2013, waar ze in 2016 haar masterdiploma behaalde. Ze volgde tijdens deze master ook jazz-piano bij Bert van den Brink en bijvak orgel bij Reitze Smits. In 2012 werd ze genomineerd voor de Compositieprijs van Muziek Centrum Nederland en was in 2015 finaliste bij de campagne Red de Fagot, in samenwerking met Bram van Sambeek, Gaudeamus en Grachtenfestival Amsterdam. In 2017 werd haar schets voor Robot Toy Piano geselecteerd tijdens de Gaudeamus Muziekweek in Utrecht, de premiere ervan vond in december van dat jaar plaats tijdens het Uncaged Toy Piano Festival in New York. Anastasia Safonova 

Anastasia Safonova is a Russian/Dutch pianist. Her playing has been praised by public and press for the deep musical understanding, colorful and poetic pianism, continuing involvement and fascinating energy. She began her professional career at the age of 12, performing the Mendelssohn Concerto with the Moscow Youth Orchestra. She studied at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music and holds a Master of Music degree from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague where she studied with Naum Grubert. Anastasia Safonova was a laureate of prestigious international competitions, winner of the first prizes at the Yuri Egorov International Competition and the Yamaha Music Competition. Her numerous performances included appearances in famous concert venues in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, England, Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey, China and Russia. Among her chamber music partners are renowned names as Boris Berezovsky, Boris Belkin, Mikhail Kugel, Godfried Hoogeveen, Mikhail Petukhov and Igor Gruppman. Anastasia Safonova has a busy schedule participating in the international festivals and giving concert performances with orchestras in Europe and Russia. Nicolas Absalom te Berlijn 

Belgian pianist Nicolas Absalom is a prize winner of international piano competitions such as the International Carl Maria von Weber Competition in Dresden (Germany) and laureate of the International Competition for Ostracised Music in Schwerin (Germany). 

Collaborations with orchestras include the Sinfonieorchester of the University of Music in Dresden, the “Siegfried Camerata”, “the Music of the Spheres Ensemble” as well as the Jenaer Philharmonie.

He has worked with musicians such as Ruben Dalibaltayan, Anna Malikova, Bernd Goetzke, Alberto Portugheis and Björn Lehmann to name a few.

Nicolas has been the recipient of multiple grants such as the “Deutschlandstipendium”, “The Thomas Harris International Piano Foundation”,the “Feuerwerk Akademie Einbeck 2022”, “Internationale Musikakademie in Liechtenstein” and the “Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now” foundation in Weimar.“ Zie website
